My father inherited it in 1984 completely in ruins and deteriorated. He set out to create a home for his family from this fortification. <\/p>\n

We have a very good memory of all its evolution and the spirit of Cortal Gran we have all been creating it together. I remember when they were mounting the floor, the doors… It seems that it was yesterday when we chose the colours of the walls! <\/span><\/p>\n

This whole process until the year 2000, when we definitely came into life.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since then our family has not stopped growing: Pere, Marcela, Constantin, Lua and little Rita…<\/p>\n

Cortal Gran has meant the illusion of our life, we have been shaping it for a long time, for 9 years, we want to share it with all of you. We believe in well-done things, the joys of everyday life, and love as a way of life.<\/p>\n

In 2011 Cortal Gran opened its gardens, expanding the porches and annexes for weddings and events.<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In 1365 the Caramany family was granted the Lordship of Sant Pere Pescador and this included the village castle as well as various lands of the area.<\/p>\n

The castle of Cortal Gran was later built, in the S.XV, in the centre of the farm. It was built as a fortified house for the defence of attacks by pirates and bandits, which in this area lasted until the 1.XVII.<\/p>\n

The Caramany family has always been engaged in farming and livestock farming and continues today with the exploitation of the apple fields that surround it.<\/p>\n

Its current owner, Juan Granada de Caramany inherited it in 1984, rehabilitated it and converted it into its residence in 2000.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
